Personal Style: F for you [Disclosure]

"I've been effected with restless whispers and cheats..Because I play the fool for you". Wow I can dance to this song all night long. I am more likely drawn to it because it's pure electronic music with nothing in between but words. Just like this outfit which is based on a white canvas(with the jumpsuit and the shoes) yet it's being interrupted by the color blue and the statement earrings.
You don't have to force an outfit more than that. Sometimes staying true to 2 or maximum 3 colors is "la migliore soluzione"(the best solution) as the Italians say! Plus I choose to "smash" the I'm-way-too-good-dressed-up with the vintage denim jacket and make it more easy breezy.
PS Invest into something white(whatever that is). It's a classy solution!

Personal Style: Sunny [Marvin Gaye]

Wearing this outfit makes me feel like a cherry blossom. Blame it on the pop out color of the sweater or simply in the light that's falling behind me. I can't really tell. But what I do tell is that most of the times I combine outfits with corresponding vibes, which likewise translates into songs. Since music is a big HUGE part of my life(headphones is literally an extension of my ears), from now own each outfit post will be framed under a song which is either one of my "classics" or a current obsession. Sunny by Marvin Gaye is one of my sky rockets. Hope you like it as much as I do.
Any songs suggestions? What are your favorites?

Street Style: James Edward Quaintance III (Jimmy Q)

Originated from the sunny land of Venice(LA) Mister James Edward Quaintance III,or as commonly known Jimmy Q, is currently a citizen of the cloudy yet intriguing London. His avocations? Plenty there are. Model(he walked among all for Diesel and Vivviene Westwood), pro-skateboarder(in the footsteps of his dad), musician(has a band called Former Lovers), actor and tattooist. Nevertheless being a free bird, as he claims to be, he is not aware of what's next!
The piercing blue eyes, the strong jawline and the distinguishing style of his blend so harmonically and make him irresistible for one's vision. You can see him I suppose somewhere in the streets of London with a cigarette on one hand and his girl on the other.
What he wears is a mixture of pure skate style along with some punk rock influences, yet is not impossible to spot him also into a tailored suit!

Personal Style: Mixing patterns

Mixing patterns. Well that's an idea! Blending two or more different patterns in one outfit although it sounds simple, it's not always the case. Many times I've tried it, millions I've failed. And that's from where my appreciation originates for the people that are nailing it! Leaving aside the clothes though, I wanna stand in the metaphorical meaning behind the title of this post and talk about human relations.
It's not gonna be long. I pledge.
People just like clothes are different between them. Two individuals trying to co-exist equals two patterns trying to do the exact same thing. As mentioned above it's not a easy thing to do. It takes imagination, envision, patience and a lot of work and love in order something to come out right, whether it's an outfit or a relationship. At such outcome (may I say) we were lead to with my photographer, yet above all friend, Mirto Vathioti. Working together, drinking coffee and (yes!) beers, talking about our dreams had grown into a deep appreciation and strong bondage.
That's why this photoshoot is so special to me. Cause it translates the affiliation not only among clothes but also among people.

Personal Style: The Details

I'm not quite a huge fan of jean pants(weird huh?), yet I consider it to be extremely challenging to find the perfect jeans that embrace the woman's curves. However I cant resist them when they give me a buttoned up sheer shirt, a playful jacket and accessories to play with.
A statement necklace should be a no miss for me if you want to add a bit of sauciness in the outfit and still in order not to loose control combine everything with an all-time classic bag. Mine is the Neverfull Monogram LV and its a statement on her own!
Do you spice your outfits with accessories too or you keep a tone more casual?

Personal Style: Lace'n'Plaid

Getting out of your comfort zone and trying your style limits is one of the subjects that I have argued over many many times at this blog. Speaking of which here I am dressing up a little bit more goth-grunge than usual and trying to balance among rock style and romantic(that comes along with the dark lace). The plaid shirt, which by the way is a huuuuge trend, yet i assume you already know, is the captain of this outfit combining both of these diverse elements.

Do you ever get out of your comfort zone? Let me know your thoughts.

Personal style: Pink in a blink

There is no LBD(aka little black dress) for me. Too classy, too obvious, too black. I don't imply that there shouldn't be in a girl's wardrobe. Probably I also own one. But sometimes get out of your comfort zone. Why not wear in a night out with your girls a baby pink mini dress. Girly thus sexy if you support it with the right attitude! Mine is from H&M(last season though). Try it!

Personal Style: Playing dress up for school

Many times and always regarding to the circumstances, while I try to choose something to wear I keep an outcome or a role on my mind to coordinate the clothes with. This way not only I keep the imagination vibrant yet also I recycle and exploit every single piece of clothing that's inside my wardrobe. Lately I'm stuck on a grunge-skater-tomboy blend and I don't see my way out of it coming any time soon.
Here I'm wearing a basic denim skater skirt, a Herschel-absolute saver bird backpack(that I've been dying to show you) from Maxim Store at Rimini and some bling bling earrings(not quite obvious though).
Are you among the ones getting into roles too?

Street Style

It's Monday . It's Street Style day. This week we are keeping it a little bit simple and we are focusing more on black'N'white contrasts, denim layering and voluminous piece of clothing.
PS We got men in the company. Don't neglect it. Spread it.

Personal Style: Purple styled

Purple hair? DONE. It was quite a time now that I was thinking to make a drastic change, when I saw a photo of my beloved and major style icon Eleonora Carisi with purple ombre hair. It took only two days to grow the idea in my head and then boom it happened! That fast. It's certainly an invigorating feeling so I certainly do suggest it!
Besides the hair here is an outfit I would wear outside on a Sunday from day till' night. It's appropriate for a morning coffee with your friends, a lunch with your family and even ending for cocktails at some fancy/hipster/local/groovy/whatever bar.
PS Skirts of this height(+ the white color factor) are huge huge huge trends. PS1 Lately I'm obsessed with everything that has to do with Clic Jewels. PS2 No I never take off my creepers. If I could I would wear them in my sleep

Personal Style: Casual Tuesday

Casual Tuesday? Hmm that's a logo a could stick to this particular day. It's only the beginning of the week so there is no need for exaggeration and over doing it! There are plenty of days following that we can do. So that's why I found myself fitted into those cosy pants, boy' shirt and studded jacket. Of course if you want to make it a bit special outfit(I never do miss the chance), you can add an extravagant piece of jewelry like this earring that I'm wearing. The creepers are also a "no-miss".
What is your Casual Tuesday?

Personal Style: Roma(day 1)

BlackN'White blazer. The feedback I have received for this clothing it's so contrasted like the colors on it. Some people seem to hate it saying that the next moment I'm gonna show up with a tray on my hand and two hot cappuccinos on it and the rest half want to sneak into my wardrobe and steel it. "No please. It's my precious" I shout like another gollum. And indeed. Being the owner of a bunch of blazers(personal must-have in the wardrobe) this one is like an Alexander McQueen couture dress for Daphne Guinness. Priceless.
Here is paired with my biggest love right now, the Underground creepers, and a Chanel-print shirt. Ideal to explore Rome, no?
What is your personal priceless piece on your wardrobe?

Personal Style: Budapest

After Wien, Budapest was calling. Oh and I can assure you she was unique. She is just so full of life and young people eager to prove that this city should possess a high position worldwide when it comes to travelling that combines both cultural and entertainment enjoyments. Among the days that I spend there I had the pleasure to witness a full tour on Budapest' sight seeings, a students' university party(THE BEST in my life EVER) and last yet not least in the 1st of May, a festival in honour of International Worker's Day.
My outfit was like my mood. Colorful and playful. Combining stripes with floral prints and bad-ass creepers was out of my comfort zone. But I am glad I took the step out of it. And now there is no turning back.
Which is your personal out-of-the-comfort-zone look?
PS. Besides fashion something else can drive me nuts. Sweets. This particular one is among the traditionals and it's called Kurtoskalacs. Don't miss he chance to try it, if you find yourselves in Budapest

Personal Style: Wien

RIMINI. Italia. Europe. 18/6. 1 pm. Outside temperature 29 celsius. Inside temperature even more. You must be wondering why I am posting photos wearing long pants and a sweater. No I didn't go nuts. Not yet at least. Those photos were taken during my trip in Wien, Austria a month ago. One of the most breathtaking cities I have experienced so far. My outfit to go was those tribal pants from H&M, my beloved white sweater and my Underground shoes(purchased on a trip to Manchester as in UK).
Which is your comfort outfit for the travels?
PS The Eastpak backpack is a MUST

Collaborations: Isabel Marant pour H&M

Waking up this morning and browsing through the social media, I almost choked myself into a ball of muesli&milk when I saw IT. Isabel Marant its going to collaborate with H&M. Well this is news.
My curiosity had grown up to another level regarding the fact that with whom H&M will choose to work this time and create clothes with a touch(or two or three) of high fashion.
Truth to be told many of us have craved over this Marant sneaker wedges/red leather jacket/knit sweaters but ok not everyone has the money to spent six hundred euros on shoes. And now its the time for us to get a piece of that pie.
The collection will be out on November.

Personal Style: Color's calling

This orange jumper from Zara was a gift from heaven. Its one of the reasons that I am quite sad summer is approaching(ok I'm lying write now.im soooo happy). Anyway for the last chilly days here in Italy I choose to pair it with jean pants&jacket and my Jimmy Choo loafers.
So how is the weather at your cities? Is it getting any better?
Here I am actually thinking of hitting the beach just to get some tan!Bisous!

Stores: Maxim(Rimini)

Haven't you seen the street styles that I have captured, there is no way that you can't recall Massimiliano. Among all the other mumbling, I have mentioned in the article that he is the owner of a store here in Rimini called after the name MAXIM.
Being one of my personal favorites, since this shop not only does have a great variety of products yet also its one of a kind when it comes to this type of shops(urban mixed with skateboarding elements). Having travelled at many cities, including Berlin which is considered the capital of this particular type of fashion, I wonder "Have I seen anywhere a shop like that?". And I answer to myself no. Maybe I didn't have the chance. There is a great possibility there. But so far none shop has impressed me that much. Call it the internal and external design, the huge variety of clothes and accessories you can choose between or the passion, which exists in there from people who simply love what they are doing.
MAXIM has already completed 5 years of existence. Browsing through the labels you can find Our Legacy, Obey, Wood Wood, Uniform for the Dedicated, Only NY, Carrhartt, Levi's Vintage/Made&Crafted, Lazy Oaf, Huf, Vans, Nike, Adidas, Dr Martens, Hideout, RayBan and much more other.
Extra insight: everything is handpicked and ordered by the owner, Massimiliano, who travels through US, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium and other countries so as to be able to select them himself.
You can find the MAXIM store in Via XX Settembre 61, Rimini(RN), Italy.

Personal Style: Gimme ma gold

This gold necklace despite the fact that's hot-burning-fire trend THIS season, its also one of my personal favorites a long time now(since has been almost a year that I carry it in my closet). Paired with the Zara white jumper, a skirt and a tweed blazer I am ready to seize the day.
How are you feeling today my loves? What are you wearing right now?

Personal Style: Yellow mellow

The great thing about having friends that are your size is that you can share or even switch things. In that case it was all about the shoes. My dearest friend and fellow blogger Savina was the one to provide me with those bright, playful pumps. For the first time that I actually wore them, I chose to go black and just break the monochrome with the shoes and denim jacket(which appears not to be wearing it only when I sleep. probably that's the next stage of my lust for it).
Do you use to share or switch clothes? Or its something you are not in favor of?
PS. This photoshoot took place back when I was to my home town, Thessaloniki. God I miss her so much along with everything that comes with her.

Street Style No.11

The first street style I shot in Palma De Mallorca is this young half-Spanish half-English girl named Rebeca. Three more have to come so stay tuned!
Not saying much this time about the outfit and the person in the photo and that's the tactic I will stick to from now on, since I came to the conclusion that all my inspiration is hidden in the pictures and by writing down some thoughts about what I see ruins a part of the magic. Silence is treasure sometimes. (Not for you my readers though). And its never late to realize that.

Personal Style: Palma de Mallorca(day 3)

3rd and last day in Palma. The temperature was that high at that day that we actually hit the beach as well. Yeah yeah with swimsuit, cocktails and all that stuff. Wish I could be there all over again, enjoy the sun and just relax.
For now im in Rimini until I leave again the next week and I will try to keep you posted. Between my absence I have been on Manchester, Wien, Bratislava and Budapest but more on this later.
For now I am enjoying a cup of cappuccino and my wardrobe filling up with color since the summer is closer and closer.

Personal Style: Palma de Mallorca(day 2)

Palma de Mallorca. Day 2. Outside temperature growing to 25 degrees Celsius. Since I can't rock my leather pants, why not rock my leather shorts this time? You've seen, you've experienced, you've wear it after all. Leather is a trend and hoping that it's here to stay.

Personal Style: Palma de Mallorca(day 1)

As I already told you in the facebook page of Style Fest I am doing some traveling right now and that's why I cannot post that often. But still I am trying to give you heads up for some of my viaggi(aka travels yet it sounded better in italiano). First stop in the map was Palma de Mallorca. This beautiful, breathtaking, stunning city. But more details and photo report on that later. First day there and the temperature had already hit 23 degrees Celsius. Soooo legs out, light jacket and this fishnet top, that I have been waiting like crazy to show you. Finally some sun :)

Personal Style: What's lost is found again

Ciao a tutti. Come state? Do you remember those pants that were a huge hit the previous season?
With Carolina Engman(aka Fashion Squad) being the first "famous" blogger to wear them and then with the majority of the fashion blogger's world to follow her steps. Yes I was one of them. I am not gonna lie.
And this is proven by the evidence.Yet I was not the one to to forgot them, I wear them until know and I think in this way I prove that a piece of clothing is not absolutely one-year's trend, yet it can fit in your style. This is the story behind my beloved Navajo pants. Here I wore them with my vintage Wrangler jacket(an absolute treasure, purchased after the precious guidance and persuasion of my very good friend and fellow blogger Savina).

Street Style No.10

Another street style coming from Rimini. Actually(for those who keep track) its the first of a girl's to upload after a long period of time! I adore her kinda boy(-ish) style with the oversized denim jacket, which is paired perfectly with another denim(this time jeans) in darker shades. Classy combination and always stylish! Plus the whole outfit doesn't bring vintage memories to you? She reminds me of the 80's(probably early 90's) girls that were soooo cool and seemed so independent.

Il concerto di Eros

Ciao a tutti. Come state? Allora yesterday was the Eros Ramazzotti concert in Pesaro and since my friend and roomie here(in Rimini) is an absolute maniac fan, we couldn't help it but go along with a bunch of other friends. Being the only Greeks surrounded by Italians, who in no way could have understood us, we had so much fun joking around and just being silly. Like small kids in the playground. The weather was a "little" bitchy, but from the moment we got inside forced are way into and Eros started performing and singing and dancing we forgot it all. Here are some of the photos I captured.

Well-being

It's the 2nd post with the well-being tag on it and honestly I am so ecstatic about it because all these things I propose to you and write about, it's part of my life style now(this part that is more private than the others and harder to share sometimes). But lets leave the melodramatic aside.
Except from exercising with my volleyball-team and doing some individual work out at home(more about it in a future post), when it's sunny outside or at least the weather has all the qualifications in order not to end up with branches on your hair/drenched to the bones, I really enjoy running.
I put on my Nike ID running shoes, my training pants and a windproof jacket and boom I am ready to head outside in the streets and interact(visually only) with other co-runners. Essential components are the mood "I-am-gonna-do-this-and-have-so-much-fun" and a cheerful playlist(or at least a playlist with songs that inspire you and make you feel strong).
For beginners the things you have to do is start by walking slightly fast and after a kilometer or whenever you feel warmed up, evolve it into a "leisurely pace" running. Continue for 2 or 3 kilometers. If your physical strength is good enough you can proceed up to the point that you start to feel exhausted. Do not over do and go above your powers, especially the first time, cause that may occur to severe injuries. And we certainly we don't want that. Finish this work out with some stretching at legs and arms(do not leave out this part. It's very important for your recovery). Repeat the whole procedure from 2 up to 4 times a week and trust me you will see some hell of a changes going on.
PS. If you actually do start doing that email me back at stylefest@live.com. I would be more than happy to hear your feedback and discus with you.

Personal Style: Random

Although I love blogging so (fuckin') much, some times I have to give it a rest cause simply there is no much time to do it ALL. Three major reasons (for those who do care) that I don't blog that often is because of 1)my university and reading schedule, 2)running from one volleyball practise to another[yes I also love volleyball THAT much] and 3)travelling/spending quality time with my friends.
My latest absence from Style Fest was due to third reason. Since here in Italy they celebrate Pascua and the universities close I found time to travel back to my home town in order to catch up with friends, family and my dog.

Obsessed

Seriously this remix of Lana Del Rey's song "Summertime Sadness" has trapped me into a mood of non-stop dreaming about the things that have passed and thinks that will come.
This voice of hers has got me into a swirl so powerful, so magical, so Lana.

Street Style No.9

One more street style coming from Rimini. When I saw this guy I just couldn't get past him. He brought me up memories from my trip at Berlin the previous November and all the cool guys I used to see in the streets, the metro and in the hip, underground bars. His name is Massimiliano and he is the proud owner of a shop, called MAXIM right in the heart of Rimini. And guess what? This is where I spotted him. Strange, huh? ;)

Personal Style: Being comfy

Being a busy girl and having too many things to do through the day, I always seek for clothes that are easy, comfy and stylish to wear. And also clothes that can be worn from the beginning of my day when I leave for the university, halfway through it when I skip my schedule for a coffee with friends and finishing at night at some bar for cocktails(Apple Martini is my partner-in-crime).
And that's what this outfit is all about! Its casual-chic. Just my favorite "worn-until-rip" leather pants, a colorful sweater and accessories to enrich the style.
What is your usual comfy outfit??
